Elisabeth
Sweeney: - Consultant
- Elisabeth Sweeney is a psychologist, who began her career in social work, specialising in child and family casework, as well as being an authorised mental welfare officer. She then joined a specialist child and youth research company, eventually becoming Managing Director.
- She established her own consultancy in 1991. In addition to running this, she became involved with The Qualitative Workshop of BMRB in 1993 and ran the unit for a considerable period before resuming her consultancy.
- Elisabeth has extensive experience in social and market research, both in the UK and internationally. Projects have ranged from social issue studies - such as drugs, juvenile smoking, AIDS awareness and behaviour and violence in the media, to marketing issues.
- Elisabeth has written many articles and spoken at conferences on related subjects, as well as running training courses for groups such as the Social Research Association.
- She has conducted projects for several charities, as well as for government departments: these include the Home Office, Health Education Authority, SCOPE, The Prince's Trust, the RNLI, the Princess Royal Trust for Carers, the NSPCC, the mental health helplines of the Telephone Helplines Association and the Somali Refugee Association.
- Projects have included examining the needs of various target groups, as well as broader issues - such as imagery, fund-raising and donations, publicity and promotions materials.
- Elisabeth has worked with Adsearch on a range of projects since 1995.
